Thu. Apr. 3, 2014 - 7pm - Community Update

Hi folks,

We’re back to share some more info on our upcoming 2014 AGM meeting on April 3, 2014, 7pm at the PRCC.

DID YOU KNOW – Because we are a registered association, the Registry of Joint Stocks requires that we hold an AGM, have a presentation of minutes from the prior meeting, and have an official election of board members each year!

*** This would be your opportunity to get more involved! We’re ALWAYS looking for new participants to attend our meetings, make decisions on what how BCHA works to enhance your community, and be part of the Board of Directors. ***

Here’s some information on the positions that make up your BCHA Executive:

Board of Directors:

  • Chair (or co-chairs)
Chairs monthly meetings, distributes communication among group, a point of contact with external agencies.
  • Treasurer
Maintains financial records for the association and reports monthly on finances and prepares a year end summary.
  • Secretary
Records minutes at monthly meetings, summarizes action lists and distributes to members.
  • Members at large
Attend monthly meetings, support planning and execution of events and initiatives, championing issues to resolution.

More info on the AGM to follow later this week! Have any ideas for topics we should have on our agenda? Please comment below and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

Councillor Adams' Meet and Greet Follow-up

Good evening,

This is a short message to update you on the result of the Meet 'n Greet session on Monday, November 19th with Councillor Stephen Adams at the Prospect Road Community Centre.

All forms have been reviewed, questions tabulated and forwarded to our staff for comment, also; an email distribution group has been created to provide information to those residents who requested to be on the list.  Note: The recipients of the information will receive the e-mails by Blind Copy in an effort to ensure your privacy is maintained.

A total of 86 questions/comments were received on a variety of topics, therefore; it may take some time to receive all the responses from the various departments involved.

The intention is to have the list of questions/comments available on the Councillors' webpage by Monday, November 26th.  A few answers to some questions may be available at that time and will also be linked.

As responses are received, the information will be updated on the Councillor's webpage.
